Exciting Changes Ahead: Introducing Brave Roots Counseling Center, LLC
I’m Amy Quaring, LPC, CADC III, and I’m thrilled to announce an exciting period of growth as my practice transitions to Brave Roots Counseling Center LLC.
The name Brave Roots was inspired by the remarkable bravery of the many young children, teens, and families who have allowed me to walk alongside them during some of life’s most challenging moments. Roots represent more than just my love of plants—they symbolize growth, resilience, and healing, all of which align beautifully with the journey of therapy.
My own family roots are what initially drew me into this profession. Over the years, I’ve earned several certifications and developed a range of therapeutic skills, but one core truth continues to guide my work: we must support parents and caregivers at the most critical times in their child’s development.
Through my participation in the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (ITMH) certificate program, I’ve deepened my understanding of how early childhood experiences shape individuals and families. Exploring the "roots" of family systems—both past and present—is essential to creating lasting change.
Research consistently shows that early intervention is key. Lower ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) scores are linked to fewer mental and physical health challenges later in life. While I’m still shaping exactly what this next chapter will look like, I’m guided by the belief that what we focus on magnifies. My hope—for myself, for the families I serve, and for this evolving practice—is once again bright☀️
